♡ EMPTIES & REVIEW ♡ (Spring Cleaning)

As promised (via Twitter)!!! Here is an empties blog!!! I have been neglecting this blog 1) because my nails have been TERRIBLE (the worst they've ever been) so I haven't been keeping up with my Monday Manicure Minute and 2) I have started my YouTube channel back up again! So, naturally, my blog has been put on the back-burner!

I recently uploaded an empties video so I thought it  was only appropriate that I post it here as well!

These are a bunch of items I have collected over the past little while! I will give you my thoughts and opinions on each product and tell you if I would or would not repurchase the item! Now let's begin!!

Behold! My carefully picked empties pile! I actually have a huge pile of empty products but I didn't want to make this blog suuuuuuper long! Plus, it saves me another blog for a rainy day ;) See? I'm a blogging pro.

The first item that is empty is........

The American Cream Hair Conditioner, LUSH 

"Have the flowing locks you've always dreamt of with this strawberry vanilla milkshake conditioner." Top Tip: The vanilla and clary sage fragrance lasts in the hair for hours.

This conditioner does smell like strawberry vanilla milkshake (but not so much so that it smells like someone accidentally spilt one on you.) It's light and sweet and subtle! I also did find that the scent lasted in my hair for a long time! However, LUSH conditioners don't contain silicone which is the ingredient that makes your hair super silky soft in the shower; and I live for that feeling. The ends of my hair are also fairly damaged so I like that extra soft feeling and with this conditioner, you don't get that. I liked the scent and it worked okay. I would recommend this conditioner to someone with thin(ner) hair! 

Would I repurchase?: No. This product was just not for me! 

L'Oreal True Match Super Blendable Makeup (Foundation)

(SPF 17, shade: neutral, "classic ivory n2")

Of course this is in my empties! This is one of my favourite (dare I say holy grail?) foundations! L'Oreal True Match is a great formula, excellent coverage, true to it's word and definitely super blendable! It also comes in SO many different shades! They range from "warm", "cool", and "neutral" so you can really get the right shade! As soon as I finished this bottle, I went out and purchased another. I would 100% recommend this foundation! If you're new to makeup, if you're looking to try a new foundation or you want to know what the best drugstore foundation is, it's L'Oreal True Match! 

Would I repurchase?: Yes! Absolutely. 

Annabelle Eyebrow Pencil Crayon (Top)

(Pencil in the shade: "Blond") 

Annabelle Skinny Brow Liner (Bottom)

(Shade: "Universal Dark") 

The first (top) eyebrow pencil is the most "standard" of the eyebrow pencil variety! This one came with a little brush on the cap (versus a spooly). The brush works great if you don't have something to brush your brows with! If you have a spooly, you can use that--whatever tickles your pickle! The application of this pencil is super buttery smooth and pigmented! Similar to a lip pencil. This product was really great, the only downside was that I definitely chose the wrong colour! This colour was much too "orange" for my complexion and it left me with ginger-y looking brows (not ideal). However, if you're new to the eyebrow game or you're looking to try out a pencil (versus powder or pomade), I would recommend this brand/pencil! 

Would I repurchase?: Maybe! I'm on the fence about this product because I have tried better things since. I really love this product and would recommend it, but I don't know if I could go back to it! (Totally personal preference.) 

The second (bottom) eyebrow pencil is the same idea, however, instead of sharpening this one, it's retractable! (Which means you wind it out for more product, much like a lipstick). I love this particular pencil and would go as far as saying it's my favourite brow pencil! (I have repurchased it TWICE!) The application is smooth and buttery and super pigmented (but not so much so that your eyebrows constantly look too dark/heavy). This pencil is in "universal dark" and was THE PERFECT shade for my brows! This pencil comes with a comb-like spooly and, personally, I didn't use it much. Like I mentioned above, I have a spooly that I used instead! (If you don't have a spooly, the comb worked fine!) This pencil also has a super fine tip so you can really sculpt and define your brows! 

Would I repurchase?: Absolutely! This is my favourite eyebrow pencil! 

Maybelline Great Lash Clear Mascara

Please excuse how gross this looks! It is SO old! Hence why I'm throwing it away...

Speaking of brows... Setting your brows is equally important as filling them in! (Okay, maybe not equally as important... But still important!) Setting them goes hand-in-hand with filling them in! It's like applying a topcoat after painting your nails. This is a super duper affordable brow setting gel. Yes, I am aware it is technically clear mascara but who the heck wears CLEAR mascara? What's the point? Also, I used this way before filling in your brows was a "thing" so this was really one of the ONLY (drugstore) brow-setting gels! This product is great for beginners and dries quickly (and clear) so you don't have to worry about smudging them! 

Would I repurchase?: No. Probably not. It's a great product! But I have found products that work better for me. 

Jasmine and Henna Fluff-Eaze Hair Treatment, LUSH

These are sample sizes! You can purchase the full-size product in bigger containers. 

I received these two sample sizes the last time I was at LUSH. These are pretty self-explanatory! This is a hair mask/treatment that you apply PRE-shower and wash off IN the shower. The smell is earthy (in the good way) and the consistency of this product is similar to hair conditioner! All you do is, scoop out the product and rub into the ends (or damaged areas) of your hair! I really focus on the ends and work my way towards the top of my head (without directly applying it to my roots--that's how you end up with greasy hair!) Wait 15-20 minutes with the product in, then hop in the shower, wash out and continue with your normal hair regime! I 100% notice a difference after using this product! And I would definitely recommend it! I am going to be going back into LUSH and purchasing the full-size of this product. I did find my hair to be noticeably softer after application and my hair felt (and looked!!!!) MUCH less frizzy! PURCHASE THIS PRODUCT IF YOU HAVE DRY/DAMAGED/FRIZZY HAIR!! (Or go into LUSH and ask if you can try a sample size! You won't regret it.) 

Would I repurchase?: YES!!!!!!! 

Secret Scent Expressions (Clear Gel Formula) Deodorant, Pasion De Tango 

This deodorant smells amazing. It smells like mango and peach and all the tropical goodness!! This product is really great because the smell isn't so over-powering that it clashes with the perfume I happen to be wearing that day. Prior to purchasing this particular deodorant, I wasn't super keen on gel formulas but this one changed my opinion! If you have not used a gel formula before and you're hesitant to try it... I would recommend this one! I found it dried quickly and never stained my shirts or left ANY white or residue! 

Would I repurchase?: Absolutely! I have before! 

Clinique Moisture Surge Intense Skin Fortifying Hydrator 

I can't believe I used all of this product up! I am so impressed with myself! Prior to using this moisturizer I never moisturized my skin. Never. Ever. I never found it necessary! However, this winter left my skin SO DRY I was in super SOS mode. I was actually gifted this item and I thought I would give it a go. I am so glad I did! This moisturizer is light enough to wear under your makeup (prior to application) or before you go to bed! The formula is super light-weight and super moisturizing. It dries quickly and non-greasy (again, super optimal for pre-makeup application.) In the past, when my skin would be extra dry before I went to bed, sometimes I would apply any facial moisturizer I could find in a drawer and I found when I would wakeup in the morning, it left my skin feeling EXTRA greasy. I never ever had that problem with this moisturizer! I have normal to oily/combination skin and this moisturizer worked WONDERS. I would definitely recommend! I am also interested in hearing what other people have to say about it! What kind of skin type do you have? Have you used this? What do YOU think? 

Would I repurchase?: Definitely! As soon as I ran out of this moisturizer, I went out and bought a brand new one!

Sonia Kashuk Eyelash Glue

Quo Full Eyelash Adhesive

(Bottom) 

I am going to keep this short and sweet! (Mostly because I don't have good things to say about these products...) The Sonia Kashuk eyelash glue (top) USE to be one of my favourite eyelash glues until I went out and re-purchased a tube and this one (pictured) was TOTALLY DRY. I went to use this product after I bought it and the glue came out of the tube in one big dry chunk. It was awful. 

Would I repurchase?: NO. 

The Quo full eyelash adhesive (bottom) one was WORSE. This product felt like it was also dried out. Both times I tried to use this glue it was a mess. It's too goopy and sticky and it NEVER kept my eyelashes on. This was literally the worst eyelash glue I have ever used. It never worked. It's still basically full and I'm throwing it away. Don't waste your time. Don't waste your money. 

Would I repurchase?: ABSOLUTELY NOT. 

Crest 3D White Toothpaste

"Radiant Mint" Flavour

It felt a little weird adding a toothpaste to my empties but teeth are totally beauty related!!! This toothpaste claims it "removes up to 80% of surface stains. Whiter teeth 100% guaranteed." Wow. 100% guaranteed? That's a lot to promise! However, I am happy to say that I would have to agree, this product DID deliver. I definitely noticed my teeth were whiter and... Shiner, almost! My teeth looked "brighter" (For lack of a better word?) This particular tooth paste was in the flavour "radiant mint"--whatever that means. It tasted fine! All toothpaste pretty much tastes the same to me... So this one was no different! Tasted just fine. Sometimes I find whitening toothpaste leaves my teeth extra sensitive or hurts my gums, that was not the case with this particular toothpaste! If you're looking for a new whitening toothpaste or just looking for one that WORKS, this is it! I would definitely recommend this toothpaste for anyone looking to try something new, or something whitening! 

Would I repurchase?: Definitely!
