Monday Manicure Minute ♡ "All Kendall-ed Up"

I feel like I've written about this nail polish before but when I went back through my blogs, I didn't find one... Am I losing it? Or did I over-look my blog and missed it?? I am over-thinking this.

Happy Monday Manicure Minute! If you've been following my blog you'll have seen *here* that I posted about wearing (and obsessing over) fake nails! Now, unfortunately, after weeks of wearing and tearing (off) fake nails, your poor real nails take a beating. I have a voucher for a spa day and I told myself I need to get my nails healthy for that date. I hate the way my nails look after removing fake nails but I'm going to stop here because this is getting progressively more and more "first world problem"-y.

I filed my nails down square, unfortunately most of my nails had broken off! So my nails were short anyway. They just needed some care. So I filed them and cleaned up my cuticles and painted my nails with this nail protein hardener

Excuse my chipped nail, I will explain later

I then applied All Kendall-ed Up by Nicole by OPI! Its a very cool-toned/blue-ish hot pink. It applies nicely and it's incredibly pigmented, true to it's colour in the bottle.

Despite this polish being pigmented and true to its colour, I did my usual three coats. I found this polish to, almost, "flake off" nicely wherever I had accidentally gotten it on my skin around the nail. (Like painting outside of the lines.. by accident.) It comes off my skin in nice little strips. However, I do keep finding little pink bits here and there...

Now, I painted my nails in the evening, let them dry, slept and went to work the next morning only to go two hours before they chipped! (Or peeled??) At one point during my shift (within the first two hours of starting my shift), I looked down and noticed my right thumb nail polish was almost peeled all the way off! Yes, PEELED! In the same way that the polish peeled off my skin around my nail, did it peel off of my actual nail! I told myself not to worry as I usually photograph my left hand but to my HORROR did I find my MIDDLE FINGER almost entirely peeled off on my left hand!

I thought about going home and re-touching every where it had chipped but it was too far gone :( A lot of my right hand polish had chipped off so I forwent touch-ups and took the photos anyway! I did this 1) so you could still see the colour/polish and 2) so you could see just what I meant when I say it "peeled" off in pieces (pictured below).

So sad :(

Final thoughts: I really love the colour of this polish, I am just sad it peeled off so quickly (wah).  I am wondering if perhaps it was the base coat I used? I don't know!!! Either way, I think this colour would be flattering on everyone's skin tone! Great formula. Great colour. Just sad about the chipping/peeling :( I will try this polish at a later date without the base coat and see how things go!
