♡ Hair Care SOS ♡
If you had told me a few years ago that some day I would be taking care of my hair, I would have laughed at you. For some reason my whole life I could just do whatever I wanted to my hair and it always turned out okay. To be specific, I've bleached it twice while my hair was black and somehow hair was magically still happy healthy and strong so yay?! Anyways, the point I'm getting to is now I'm facing "real people problems" where, I've put highlights in my hair and now my hair is super dry from lightening/bleaching those strips. So now, I am going to journey into making my hair healthy again! And will blog about the process. Products, treatments, shampoo/conditioners, everything! Whatever works and doesn't... Will be written about! This will begin a new "mini series" similar to my Monday Manicure Minute. I'll come up with a clever hair title later.
I typically reach for this product first because it has proven to be most effective! I love the scent, it smells faintly floral. Nothing over-powering. The consistency is creamy like a hand lotion or moisturizer. I typically rub the product through my fingers and then through my hair focusing on the ends (stay away from your roots as this product can make your hair greasy looking!) I'll usually scrunch my hair while I am rubbing the product in. If you have thin or fine hair, I would recommend staying away from this particular product because as someone who has very long, thick hair, sometimes it tends to be a little heavy (especially if you use too much). I just feel like somebody with thin or finer hair might experience this product as being greasy.
I also have a Lush hair mask that I received a while ago. I mentioned it briefly in another hair blog but I haven't used it since my hair has been coloured! Keep an eye out for a blog on that!
To begin, I have recently purchased John Frieda's Sheer Blonde Colour Renew "Tone-Correcting" shampoo and paired it with its corresponding conditioner.
I am hoping this will pull any extra brassy tones in my hair because i don't want my hair orange or "yellow"! If that's what you're into, then feel free to skip purchasing the tone correcting shampoo/conditioner and continue on with whatever brands you'd like!

Post-shower I have three products I reach for, for my hair right after it's been washed.
My first choice is:
LUSH "R&B Hair Moisturizer" A rich, leave-in moisturizer to revive and balance dry or curly hair.

My second choice:
Dove "Style + Care Frizz Proof Cream-Serum" Tames frizz and boosts shine.
When I want to switch up my routine a little bit or when I don't feel like using my Lush R&B, I'll reach for this post-shower cream! This product smells amazing (as most Dove products do) and the consistency is slightly thicker than the R&B and the product almost appears shiny or shimmery (though no actual shine/glitter is present in the product--it simply looks glossy upon dispensing). I use this product much like I use the Lush one, add a small amount of product to my fingers, rub through my hair focusing on the ends and scrunching it as I go. (Scrunching my hair simply helps tame my waves). If you have thin or fine hair and you are interested in using this product, ensure you only use a small amount at a time! Otherwise your hair look feel heavy and look flat.

Third:
This product I use least often simply because it is an item I received and did not go out of my way to purchase. It is also the newest addition to my "post-shower trio." This product works well but it doesn't necessarily do what I want it to do. This product leaves my hair really shiny and soft, however, it doesn't particularly help with frizz (which is what I am looking for). While I was away on vacation, this product was great post-shower as it kept my hair soft and shiny while using the not-so-salon-quality shampoo/conditioner 2-in-1 provided by the resort. I would purchase this product if you are simply looking for something to make your hair soft and shiny! If you have no problems with frizz, this is the product I would recommend. All-in-all, great product but definitely the one I reach for the least.

What do you use to take care of your hair? Have any favourite "post shower" favourites?!
