Happy Birthday to the Psycho...
Turning 21 has already left me with fond memories I'll never
forget. Within a month I had already had a mental breakdown. Okay, that was a
little dramatic but I was having one of those "cry for no reason"
moments. You know? (I know you know what I mean, we’ve all been there—don’t
deny it!!!) However, I think sometimes having a mini breakdown almost helps you
see what you want in life. Opens your eyes and perhaps, changes your
perspective. For instance, my breakdown lead me to appreciating everything I have
in my life, both past and present. I am thankful for everyone around me who
continues to support me and be there for me. I am thankful I’m in a
relationship where my boyfriend and I can be both lovers and best friends. I am
thankful I have a full time, paying job, so I can pay rent and live comfortably
within my means. I guess what I’m really trying to say is, crying last night
for no particular reason led me to being extremely grateful and thankful for
all that I do have. It showed me how
miniscule my problems actually were and that there are much bigger and better
things out there!
Whatever you’re going through, my advice to you is, keep on keepin’
on. Things come and things go but everything always works out in the end.
UPDATE:
Since having my mini mental breakdown, things could not be better. My life is amazing and I am loving and appreciating every minute of it!! (Everything really does always work out in the end.)
